Fellowship trained across four countries, practising in Mackay.

Dr. Dlaska is a dual-trained trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with a specialty focus on orthopaedics. He completed his medical degree at the Medical University of Vienna with highest distinction, with an Erasmus year at the Université de Lausanne in Switzerland.

His orthopaedic and trauma training took him through the leading university hospitals of Vienna and the Charité in Berlin — one of Europe's largest teaching hospitals. He then pursued advanced arthroplasty and reconstruction training in Australia at the Orthopaedic Research Institute of Queensland in Townsville, where he developed a particular interest in computer-navigated and robotic-assisted joint replacement.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (FEBOT), and of the German (DGOU) and Austrian (ÖGU & ÖGOuT) orthopaedic and trauma societies.

Alongside clinical practice, Dr. Dlaska maintains an active research programme with numerous peer-reviewed publications on bone healing, joint reconstruction and surgical technique, in collaboration with QUT and international partners.
